Welcome to Homestead State School.
Homestead State School is a co-educational Band 5 School, located 76km west of Charters Towers and is situated within a cattle and mining community.
Our school motto, 'Wisdom Brings Happiness' encompasses a strong belief in life-long learning, achieving goals and celebrating our successes. Our School community is dedicated to guiding and encouraging each individual student to his/her full potential - be it academically, physically, socially, emotionally, culturally or creatively.
As a small school, we deliver our curriculum through a multi-aged and diverse learning environment, incorporating the individual learning needs of all students. We use effective teaching and learning practices which both supports, challenges and equips students for a dynamic and successful future.
