Homestead State School is situated in the rural town of Homestead in Queensland and was established in 1893.
Our dedicated and experienced teaching staff members take pride in presenting the curriculum in an integrated, innovative and inspiring way with a view to helping students achieve their personal best. Staff members are committed to developing and implementing the curriculum and fostering a creative and dynamic learning environment.
We are also supported by a terrific community which enables us to offer a range of fun events during the year including under 8's day, book week celebrations, sporting carnivals and awards nights, casino nights and family fun days.
Our grounds include a large undercover playground, a sports oval, gardens, orchard, a half-court basketball court, a full sized tennis and volleyball court, gazebos and open spaces. Facilities for the school are being continually developed.
Parents and citizens assist in providing a wide range of resources, by helping in the library, developing the grounds and preparing catering for many events.
